'America's Got Talent' tops Tuesday night

The sixth season premiere of America's Got Talent topped the Tuesday night ratings, preliminary numbers suggest.

The show's LA auditions drew 13.3m viewers from 8pm to 9pm, while the second half of the two-hour episode reached a peak of 16.6m.

The first season of fellow reality series The Voice attracted 14.4m at 10pm, winning the night for NBC.

The NBA Finals Game 1 between the Dallas Mavericks and the Miami Heat pulled in a peak of 13.7m for ABC, with lead-in shows Jimmy Kimmel Game Night and NBA Countdown drawing 6.3m and 6.9m respectively.

Reruns dominated the CBS schedule, with episodes of NCIS (11.1m), NCIS: Los Angeles (9.9m) and The Good Wife (6.2m) drawing respectable numbers.

Fox and The CW also aired reruns on Tuesday night. Glee drew 2.4m at 8pm for the former network, with Raising Hope attracting a slightly higher 2.6m at 9pm and Traffic Light dipping to 2.2m at 9.30pm.

Meanwhile, episodes of One Tree Hill and Hellcats both pulled in around 807,000 viewers for The CW.
